Each coaster starts as a piece of natural timber which we shape, sand and finish by hand. The result is a substantial, tactile coaster with a smooth rounded edge and the natural character of genuine solid wood.

Unlike mass-produced coasters cut from sheet material, every one of our coasters is individually turned from solid timber. The grain, colour and natural markings make each piece unique, while the traditional turning process gives the coaster a quality feel that simply cannot be achieved with a flat, machine-cut alternative.

Our coasters are individually made from 100% solid hardwood, with each piece turned on a lathe before being carefully sanded and finished.

Choose Your Hardwood

We offer a selection of natural hardwoods, each with its own colour, grain and character.

American Walnut
Rich, dark brown tones with a beautiful flowing grain.

English Oak
A traditional, hard-wearing timber with plenty of natural character.

Cherry
Warm reddish-brown colouring which naturally becomes deeper and richer with age.

Lime
A very pale, fine-grained timber with a smooth, clean appearance.

Sycamore
Light in colour with a subtle grain and naturally bright appearance.

Mahogany
Warm, rich colouring with an attractive natural grain.

Because these are genuine pieces of natural timber, no two coasters will ever look exactly the same. Grain direction, colour and natural markings will vary from one piece to another.
