Traditional boxwood wine and jar tap — single wooden spigot with cork for leak-resistant dispensing.
This single wooden tap measures 2½ inches (63mm) in length and is designed to fit hole diameters between 9mm–12mm, making it ideal for small jars, wine vessels and home brewing containers.
Crafted from durable boxwood and fitted with a high-quality natural cork, this traditional wooden cask tap provides a reliable, snug fit to help minimise leaks during dispensing. Boxwood is well known for its tight grain and strength, making it particularly suitable for precision wooden components such as taps and spigots.

Important Care Information
Please note: our taps are natural, untreated wooden products.
Untreated wood exposed to water or outdoor conditions will naturally degrade over time. To prolong the life of your wooden tap, we strongly recommend applying a breathable wood treatment that repels water while allowing the timber to breathe.
Recommended treatments:
- Danish oil or raw linseed oil – penetrates deeply and enhances natural water resistance
- Tung oil – highly durable and long-lasting
- Specialist decking oils (such as Osmo or Ronseal decking oils) – designed for water and UV resistance
- Avoid varnishes or paints, as these seal the surface and can trap moisture inside the wood, potentially accelerating rot.
With proper care and maintenance, your wooden tap will provide dependable performance while maintaining its traditional appearance.
